Roofing estimate follow-up texts that don't sound pushy
Six short messages for roof replacement and repair quotes that went quiet, with when to send each one and what it's for. Copy them, change the brackets, and send from your own phone.
Day 1: the “did it come through?” check
A quick check that the estimate arrived, with no decision asked for. Easy to answer and easy to ignore.
Hi [First name], it's [Your name] with [Company]. Just making sure the [roof replacement] estimate came through okay. Happy to walk you through any of it.
Day 4: answer the unspoken questions
Timing, financing and warranty are the three things people hesitate over. Name them so they don't have to ask.
Hi [First name], [Your name] again from [Company]. Most folks weighing an estimate like this ask about timing, financing, or warranty. Glad to answer any of those. Where are you at?
Day 10: the polite close-out
Makes closing it out an easy answer too, and it's the last message in the sequence.
Hi [First name], [Your name] with [Company]. I don't want to keep bugging you. Should I keep your [gutters] estimate open, or close it out for now? Either answer is totally fine.
When they say “still deciding”
Acknowledge, set one clear check-back, then actually wait.
Totally understand, it's a big decision. I'll check back once next week and leave it at that. If anything comes up before then, just text me here.
When price is the objection
Ask before you discount. There may be a smaller option or financing worth putting in front of them.
Thanks for being straight with me. Would it help if I put together a second option at a lower price point, or walked you through monthly financing? No pressure either way.
When they went with someone else
Leave the door open. It costs nothing, and a house still needs service later on.
Appreciate you letting me know, and congrats on getting it handled. If you ever need a second opinion or service down the road, I'm a text away.
Roofing follow-up tips
Insurance jobs move on the adjuster's clock. If the homeowner is waiting on a claim decision, ask when they expect to hear, then check back the day after, not before.
Homeowners often collect several roofing bids. The Day 1 check lets you answer questions while they're still comparing, instead of after they've picked.
Weather sets the calendar. If your schedule is filling for the season, say so plainly with real dates. Don't invent a deadline.
Want these lined up for every estimate?
